Well, we are home from the hospital, finally!!! It took longer than expected, not the actual procedure, but the "wait time". We got there at 11:30 am and didn't get in for the surgery until a little after 2:00pm. The surgery took about 1 1/2 hours, but time did go by quickly, luckily. They didn't have to use the balloon to help with the obstruction, or place a tube, which surprised the Doc. So all in all, he was the best case scenario.
Waking up from his anesthesia on the other hand, was not so pleasant...He screamed and fought for about 2 hours, and they like to keep him until he calms down (which he didn't do until we were on the way home in the car...), just so they know he's not in a lot of pain, and can keep fluids down. He wouldn't calm down because he hated to IV, and they couldn't take the IV out until he was drinking, and he wouldn't drink because he was so angry with the nurses and the IV, so it was an endless battle for a while, but he survived and we are home. So far, he has not had any drainage (knock on wood) from his left eye...which has never happened for Conner. So that is great news!!! Thank you for all the prayers!!!
